I have recently purchased a 355 spider. The car has obviuosly spent some time under/close to a tree, and is therefore covered in a "gummy" layer. I have tried various products on the paint with some success.

However, could someone please advise what I could use to clean and treat the roof?

Also, the rear window is generally scratchy and yellowed, any suggestions?

I have tried the Renevo product. Certainly transforms the colour but leaves the roof with a painted & 'stiff texture'. Thought the Autoglym stuff was good which I tried before but does not last long. The Renvo plastic screen cleaner was excellent.

Welcome to CS Gordon.

Dave Zymol is the font of all knowledge here as far as paint defects and rectification is concerned.... sure he'll spot this and reply!

As far as the window is concerned, try www.hindsightuk.com they advertise in the back of Classic Cars magazine and have a product that removes stratches and opaque discolouration.

Let us know how you get on. :)
