My pot of vintage is getting less and less and as it's from a sample pack, I don't get any refills.

So I thought of getting a pot of Vintage with the free lifetime re-fills, which costs 1,852 in the UK.

But....over in the US it's $1,852 which at todays exchange rate is 923.07.

So that's 923.07 for lifetime refills. I think I'll have some of that.

But will they sell it to me?

To find out, I emailed Zymol and got this response from their customer services department.

Hello,

Thank-you for your interest in zymol.

Good choice, going with our Vintage.

Any orders that come if from the UK are sent directly to our distributor there. We do not ship orders to the UK.

However, if you do purchase a Vintage you are still entitled to refills. You will be responsible for the shipping cost to from the warehouse.

Should you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Warmest Regards,
Diane

Same is going on with Adobe (Photoshop). How can they justify between 50 and 140% markup for something you can downlad off the web - except you can't cos they stop European customers from downloading from the USA.

Just crazy. :thumbsdow :thumbsdow
I saw same thing when thinking of trying Zymol and decided to skip (price was same in $ as in ), also their advertisements are questionable IMO.
But ask somebody from US to ship it to you!

Same deal on an awful lot of goods.

They do it because they can get away with it.

Often they'll quote VAT and other duties, but at worst these are only going to add 25% onto the cost. Not the 100% differences.

Always buy my camera gear in the US for similar reasons.

Done a quick check on Swissol Mystery wax...
US Price: $550
UK Price: 290

This wax contains 55% Number 1 White unbleached Caranuba by volume. In comparison, Zymol's Ital Glaze contains 47% Brazilian No.1 Yellow and White Carnauba by volume (90%Yellow, 10% White) and Royale Glaze contains 70% Brazilian No.1 White Carnauba by volume.

Some food for thought...

Think about it guys. Dave scoffs that many biscuits with Zymol coated hands that his gut must be gleaming by now (with a slight hint of Rosso of course).

In Dave's defence, when he was up here doing Ade's car,he didn't scoff that many biscuits..................then again Ade only brought 1 pack of Jammy Dodgers to go round 7 people:tongue3:
