Having owned a few Porsches, I think its a crying shame that their cars are going that way. I guess that's what happens when production goes through the roof.

I agree Ken, at least we Ferrari owners know that our cars are thrown together by a bunch of half-drunk Algerian former goat-herders,currently operating on the Italian version of a YTS scheme and consequently we EXPECT recalls on our cars!

Yes, I would still like one and will have one one day. Not long after we spoke I had a test drive at Porsche Tonbridge and the drive convinced me that I wanted one. The downside is that I looked at the rear seats and the area my golf clubs would have to be pushed into and realised that it was essentually a 2 seater with no boot to speak of. My "other car" must be at least an occasional 4 seater and certainly must accept golf clubs in a civilised way. My eldest is almost 14 and therefore would potentially be 16 before I sell the car.
So my heart would have liked to buy but my head said no. Having let my heart win with the Ferrari purchase I cannot have a 911 for the moment  .
