I think this is quite an easy transion Spart, I see that my harnesses are fixed at the upper bulkhead just behind the seats and in the normal points in the floor pan.

I assume the upper points to the rear bulkhead are std fitments at the factory .

Does that help??

Hi Joe, Don't know mate, it's a start, is it a 4 point you have in yours or does it have leg straps as well ?

In the dealer spec books the 4 point racing harnesses were not availiable in the spider for some reason so I am not sure if they can be fitted in the spiders

no problems mate, I think it has something to do with the mounting points being affected by the roof, not sure how true just something i have picked up somewhere down the line, but seems like the only possible reason i can think of

No tracks for me then in this one then :( Great excuse for me to buy another one for the track though :)

Dont jump the gun here, as I heard of a Track accident and it was the harness that killed the driver as the car bent in 2 the belts pull across the driver if the guy had had normal belt he would of had a chance.

However the harnesses are good.

Im sure you can fit a harrness bar that bolts into seat belt anchour points, then you weld harness bolts to it. OV london sell them.

Hi Mate,

There are no seat belt anchor points as such. They are attached to the Carbon Fibre Seat Shells !

The harness eyes bolt stright into the seat, but you can bolt a bar behind the seats that bolts into the fixing for the seat belt behind your shoulder,

So in basic, it's a bar that is bolted into the shown points and the the harnesses are then mounted on the bar, sounds like a good way of getting round the problem as its mounted on the OEM mounting points so will have the strength to be safe, only downside would be the bar sticking out like a sore thumb.
