Hose pipe bans only apply to unattended hosepipes. i.e. lawn sprinklers.

You are fine to use a hosepipe to clean the car.

Surely the extent of the ban will be dependant upon the amount of water stocks we have.

During the last ban Anglia water allowed use of hand held hosepipes. Might vary per water company?

I think there is a hosepipe ban in Sussex.... but if I were to use buckets I'd prob go through 8 or 9 once you've sloshed some over, soaped, rinced off etc? I recon the equivilant of 4 or 5 buckets using a hose.

(and Fatty Prescott wants to build several thousand homes down here, tosspot... not enough water to go around as it is)
