I know there are Chelsea fans on here.

Sadly it has been reported Peter Osgood (59yo) suffered a heart attack whilst attending a family funeral today and has passed away.

My condolences to his family and loved ones as well as my expression of sadness to all Chelsea fans at the passing of this footballing legend.

Sad news, I use to frequent a pub / resturant in Old Windsor that he co-owned with another Chelsea footballer, Ian Hutchinson

I'm no Chelsea fan but I did see him play a few times. A great player. I will never forget that goal he scored against Leeds in the FA Cup Final replay. A class act and it's sad to see him go.

RIP Ossie

2 abiding memories - his legs which seemed to be sooooo long and the FA Cup Final replay against Leeds in 1970 - at Old Trafford wasn't it ? - especially his diving header :)
