Yeah, I know what you mean.... it's that sort of don't-go-with-the-pack, don't-be-a-sheep, stop-sh11ting-yourself-about-the-resale-value, be-a-bit-subtle, sort of weird thing, isn't it?:wink3:

I met with the owner of this McLaren when I was @ Nordscleife. It is the actual car that set the production car speed record (although it did have its suspension modified a bit to do it). They owner was a great guy too, he saw I was having a bit of difficulty on the ring and slowed down to let me follow him for a lap (he was in his race prepared GT3 at the time rather than the F1)

Yes, that's a beautiful Enzo. Blue + yellow calipers is a deadly combination (as in that CS as well).

I have a feeling the F1 owner posts on PistonHeads...

That blue Enzo looks amazing and the F50 is a close second.
The blue McLaren F1 belongs to Flemke. He is a great bloke and always only too happy to answer people's questions about the car.
From memory, I believe he once said that his F1 is the "most driven" F1 in the country. He is a walking encyclopedia of McLaren information.

Hi lads, thanks for the welcome, I've only had the car a few weeks, so still have a massive grin everytime I look at it... I live in Oldham so you can imagine the attention I get when I take it out, it's hardly the home counties (where I bought it) lol.
It needs its annual service so if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it...I think Stratstones in manchester might be a bit pricey:smile:

If that F1 is Flemkes then it's got more than 36K miles on it and aparently Gordon Murray reckons with the sports exhaust and high mileage its probably got close to 680hp.

Why would high miles ad BHP if anything I would think it decreases it

Si, an engine doesn't reach it's full potential (BHP) until it is run in. On most cars this could be c.30k miles (assuming it has been correctly serviced for those previous 30k miles).

An engine may of been 'bedded in' when brand new but the engine can gain power as it free's up through greater use.
