I have been looking at the service manual for my 360 and have a couple of questions you guys may be able to help out with:

1) There are two sections for stamps in the service manual; “yearly maintenance coupon recording” and “recording of planned maintenance service”. Only the stamp for the first service at 9,000 kms is in the latter section. The subsequent service stamps are in the first mentioned section. What’s the difference between the two sections?

2) The car was originally supplied in Italy and the supplying dealer is listed as SA.MO.CAR S.P.A. Does anyone know what dealer this is? Could it be the factory?

Welcome to the asylum!

I can't help with your 2 questions, my car's at a dealer on SOR so I can't refer to my service book.
But I am curious how you get on with service in Malta, is there an agent there?

ok 1 section is to record your annual services, and the 2nd is to record the scheduled service eg, 6250miles, 18750miles etc...

so from what you are saying your car hasnt reached its 2nd scheduled service yet but has had a number of annuals, hope this clears things up for you

sorry cant help with the 2nd question

Hi Gary,

No it's not the factory - Sa.Mo.Car SpA are the Ferrari Concessionaires in Rome.

Mark & Malcolm

Thanks for the info  I’m slowly piecing together a detailed history of the car now!

Clive

I’ve only had the car 3 months and it was serviced in the UK by Terry Hoyle just before I bought it so I haven’t had to get it serviced yet.

There are no Ferrari dealers in Malta. Apparently there is an expat living on the island that used to work as a technician at a franchised dealer and does running repairs on the few Ferraris in Malta. For anything major there are franchised dealers in Ragusa and Palermo on Sicily which are a 1.5 hour ferry and then a 40 min or 3 hour drive respectively  Palermo is the larger of the two.

In any case, the car is currently kept in Barcelona where I am working and there is a dealer there. But TBH I will probably drive it back to the UK and Terry Hoyle for each annual service to keep the service book looking consistent. Good excuse for a trans-continental blast as well!

Cheers Mark. The car has 60,000 kms on it and was last serviced around 52K so it's had several scheduled services. I guess they are just stamping the wrong part of the book. I have enough stamps to cover the life span of the car (6 years old, 60,000 kms, 5 stamps in the book) so I'm not too worried. Just trying to fathom the exact history of the car out.
