Red or Black calipers???

Hi co 348 owners...(...and all the rest of ya);)

I've been playing with the thought of repainting my black calipers into red, but I'm not sure of how the result will be, does anyone have a pic of a red 348 with red calipers so please post it here.
Please let me know YOUR thoughts on this...like I said, I'm not sure, I kinda like the black - but on the other hand, lots of car looks really nice with coloured calipers.

Think you should change the wheels to get the best effect. 348 wheels obscure the calipers more than say 355 or 360 wheels. I'd switch to 355 wheels and go yellow (just to be different)

I think painting them red mokes the car look more interesting and prettier. If they are balck, nothing attracts your eye behind the wheels but red calipers give you another thing to look at more closely into and appreciate and also highlight the discs etc.

IMHO yellow calipers on a red car look awful. Nice on a black one. But it's all cosmetic. As someone said - does it make it go faster - or more exactly - stops quicker? But everyone to their own taste.

IIRC Jas has red calipers on his 348,the thing to remember if you are DIYing it
is the preparartion,get this right otherwise it will look awful.

Yes, I believe he did. From memory they are unpainted metal.

Yeah, I agree, its not worth it on 348 wheels. On 355 wheels it looks lurvly

I think black is the only colour on a red car. If you have any other colour than red, red or yellow calipers would look quite good.

IF I decide to repaint my calipers, then I'm not gonna do it my self - will leave the car at a pro. painting company.

Someone said that the coloured calipers will look better on a 355 (or 348 with 355 rims) I'm VERY agree to that, the 348 "bars" are very fat, but nice too in the same way....I really want 355 rims too, but they are not easy to find for a decent price here in Norway.:(

I also think (like another member said) that with red calipers it attract more attention, like....lot-to-see-in-this-erea kinda thing if you know what I mean.

Coloured LETTERS were also mentioned here, so I took a couple of minutes to "repaint" some letters for you, so you can see for yourself and get a glimpse of how it will look like in real.
I liked the yellow letters, on a red caliper....

Probably next April when I have the car serviced. I'll try and get pics done of the process as well.
