    Default 328 Value?

My Neighbour is in the market for a 308/ 328 probably preferring the latter but would consider a sorted 308 and he will be considering Dave (EX Zymol ) car if it's still available.

His ideal car is a 328GTS Rosso/ Crema and depending on purchase time between now and the Spring has 25k to 32k to spend.

I took a look at a Red/ Tan Car on Autotrader (link below) as it seemed well priced, paperwork/ service wise it's OK although old MOT's are missing, the service history is a bit all over the place from QV, Talacrest, Maranello, lots of other 'specialists' and the belts have been done quite regularly although probably not on the dot every two Years. The present owner runs a body shop and repainted the Car 2 Years ago but hasn't professionally finished it so it looks a bit flat will need a wet sand and machine polish, the interior has been reconnolised and looks clean but smells a bit damp and it needs some general detailing such as the front bonnet stay is broken, tool kit missing, tyres while lots of tread don't look like the right profile to me so best replaced. Engine sounds very sweet and Car has just had a service at a specialist at Dunsfold (not one I've heard of!) only other bad thing is somebodies fitted speakers in the door panels on the outside of the carpet and in the top of the dash!

What would you pay for it? I'm not sure it's the ideal car for my Neighbour but I thought it might make a good project for me to play with (and of course send to Alun to get the paint sorted

The place at Dunsfold will be the ex-Talacrest mechanics. Guy told me they'd set up there a while back.

Mark. Found the ideal car for your friend.(edit black interior, but still rather nice.... would prefer it over crema anyway)

If Phil iat Rosneath is selling it, he'll be confident of it's quality and has most likely worked on it for many years. Give him a buzz.

Lovely looking car. Slightly non-standard with the black windscreen surround and the painted black area immediately behind the door windows, but non the worse for it really... and I love the colour-coded door mirrors. I think I've only seen one other 328 with them yet I can't understand why everyone doesn't have them like that. Were these a factory option or is it something people have done themselves?

Mitch. Don't know a great deal about the finish of 328's, but I agree the red mirrors look good, and black rather than silver windscreen surround most likely ages better?

Rich, the frame round the screen should be paint colour, ie Red

Red door mirrors were not a factory option. I had mine colour coded red at Stratstone when I took delivery of my new car in May 89. Also had a new car in 86 but cannot remember if I had those colour coded but it did have a black interior. Will have to try and find some pictures.

When I get my 328 I'll definitely get the mirrors colour coded. It'll be the first thing I do... okay, it'll be the second thing I do after jumping up and down, running around in circles and screaming YES, YES, YES, I'VE GOT A FERRARI!!!
