    Default Testarossa purchase

    Hi

    My first post here...

I am a long time Lambo owner but have owned a 355 previously. I am looking to add a Testarossa to compliment a Countach QV that my brother and I jointly own as always loved them as the classic 80's supercars.

I am looking for some purchase advice. I like the early single mirror cars but would I be right in thinking the later cars would be a safer bet? I am not sure if any particularly significant changes were made during the car's production?

My budget is ideally 40k. I have so far seen cars advertised by Andrew Howarth and Legenda that may fit the bill but not been to look at any yet. I am after a Rosso car.

    Any advice appreciated

    thanks

    Craig

Personally I think the knock off race-type wheel nuts on early single mirror cars look way cooler than the later type

Craig, Just go for it mate.
The Testarossa is an iconic car.
I have waited nearly 25 years and got mine just 2 weeks ago and I'm still grinning from ear to ear every time I pop out to the garage.
being an 80's car it is pretty simple to work on, not too much in the way of black-magic electronics, a real drivers car, but a bit of a beast too.
    :-)

the early car at Andrew Howarth has now sold and from what I have read the post 87 cars are a better bet

if anyone knows of any good cars please let me know

    thanks

This looks like a great bargain if its in good condition. I previously owned a 1987 Testarossa, by far compared to my other Ferrari's had the best road 'presence'. It actually once caused a driver to hit the back of another car while he looked at my Testarossa.
