You're right but, I guess, in a race situation you want to have quick glance and be certain of what's going on.
Same with the rev counter which has been rotated so max revs is at 12 o'clock.
Possibly some of the race drivers back in the day may not have been familiar with the car too.
From my point of view this was all done back in the '90's so I think I should leave it as is, plus the red labels have a bit of retro chic!

Was the car raced by a Brit then? Not sure why, my impression was it was originally Italian owned. No idea where I got that from though![]()
In 1993 was raced in the Italian Ferrari Challenge by Saverio Castellaneta. Then it was bought over to the UK for Alan Li and then Martin Henderson both running in the European Frerrari Challenge. In 1996 it was lightly modified to run in the Pirelli Maranello Ferrari Challenge in the hand of Phil Burgan and then onto my pal Ray Ferguson.
