    Default FERRARI 400i - VALUE

Hi, I would be very grateful for someone's help
    I have a 1981 Ferrari 400i Auto - Series 1, approx. 60,000 miles ( 99,650 kM ) which has been garaged since 2005.
Have started it recently, but it has no MOT. It has most in part a Maranello service history since new & I am only the second owner & have had the car since 1988. The car has a stainless steel exhaust, but not manifolds. It was restored in 2004, very good interior & boot for age, bodywork minor scatches & chips, original Ferrari wallet/handbook, spare wheel, toolkit + 3 new tyres.
Could someone give me an idea of what it worth/value please
    Thanking you in anticipation

Please check out with a specialist re the belts. If the car was stood since 2005 the belt must be at least 11 years old and if it breaks or the teeth come off your car is scrap. I wouldn't run the engine at all !!

I used to think the change the belt every three years was a load of bull****, but a friend had an old fiat that hadn't been run for years and he changed the belt before running the engine. The belt had gone almost rigid and even when off the car it maintained its fitted shape and the blocks on the belt had cracks and looked like they would just snap off

These run on chains although I'd be inclined to change the alternator / ac belts etc and get some fresh fuel in there

I'd reckon on 50k for insurance purposes, based on 2 I know sold in the last 6 months or so

These are funny cars to value. Looking at recent trends I think alot depends on who is bidding on the day, but yes for insurance purposes I'd say 50k but without any further information on the car, difficult to guess!
