    Default Christian Lewis

Is anybody aware of any change of situation at Christian Lewis lately? I have called 3 times (and spoke to a secretary each time) and sent 2 emails over the past 3months asking for a quote on work to be done to my car. I specifically said I was recommended by Aldous Voice - whom to my great despair I canít use easily anymore as I moved too far north to continue using - and referenced this forum as well.
To this day I havenít heard anything, got called back or anything that lets me believe the company is still trading or interested in taking on new business.
I have heard so many good things about C Lewis, that I find it very surprising.
I know they were moving premises last month, but I still donít not understand why nothing seems to get through to them.
Does anybody know anything or has used them recently?
    Thanks

Sure others will know more about how to read this stuff than me but Iíve sometimes used these sites to get a (very!) rough idea of whatís going on with a company.

Yep. Ed moved to work with AV about a year ago. Aldous had been recommending CL due to him being the main Ferrari technician there and we were taking our 360 to CL for that reason. Now we've followed the man down to Kent, which is a bit of a slog for us but I feel it's worth following the expertise. With both Aldous and Ed under the same roof, especially if you have a 360/F430, AV is now probably the no.1 place in the UK for these models.

As mentioned Ed moved down to work with Aldous.

In Herts I would recommend Bell Classics who have Attilio (ex HR Owen top tech) who is the only other guy apart from Ed who I would give my car to. Did amazing work on my 550.

Given that I am now 2h drive away from AV eng, you sparked my interest w Bell Classics. Are they more competitive than DK Engineering which is actually more expensive than my ďlocalĒ Ferrari main dealers (HR Owen, Joe Mac...) which offer fixed price servicing for pre-2010 Ferrariís ?

Not sure about pricing as I haven't had anything done there. My criteria are purely who touches my car and in Ed Blasi or Attilio Romano you have two of the very best. I've learned over many years that price does not equal quality, hence why I usually avoid main dealers and a lot of the usual specialists.

When Attilio was at HR Owen I always insisted he alone work on my car and since he left Premier Park I dont think they have anyone who comes near his level. For me Bell Classics have scored a huge win in getting him, as AV have in getting Ed.

Things have been going a bit south there for a while and certainly after Ed left. Iíve not been overjoyed with the service of late and it now seems like they have gone under although Christian has revised his website with the promise of a new brand and some new íbespokeí services.

If you need someone in the Midlands area with the knowledge, Iíve used Shiltech in Loughborough who are pretty well known and Geoff certainly knows his way round the cars, but for what itís worth I simply bus my cars down to Ed in Kent. I have a reliable trailer guy who both Ed and I know. PM me if you want details.
