have a capritsio 2 on my 355, but handily with bypass valve. no issues. not stopped anywhere, but always adhered to the speed limits in switzerland.
if your tubi is that really really noisy one; i would be surprised if you didnt get stopped!
boarder search? wasnt even a hut on our routes...
an interesting subject and undoubtedly a loose loose one as you say. that said for high end it might not be too big an issue, but “middle class aspirational” like the majority of porsche suv stuff, i bet that will hurt.
i didnt read the fine print, but do the tarrifs cover parts for used...
1) i didnt think these were to be driven but put in a collection so one can say “i have the latest…”
2) manufacturers seem to be hooked on these to underpin the balance sheet and thus perpetuate the ponzi scheme of buying lesser models
Will be interesting, EV and hybrid nonsense will be key how they navigate that mine field and the diverging national approaches (4 more years!). also seems to be a diverging £ used prices across europe/ us/ uk!
I think it’s easier to just agree we wont agree on SUVs!!!
fuel availability will be interesting though. as I might just about be getting a new ish daily, Id prefer a diesel for economy and range, but petrol cars are more widely available but much worse economy and off course range. Towns...
v60 is a small car.
lets compare like for like and look at the x5 and 5 estate which use the same basis. broadly similar load capacity, 100ltrs more in the x5. x5 heavier by several hundred lbs. fuel economy on both with same engine and xdrive, x5 31mpg, estate 41 mpg. enough said really...
Net zero is just an accounting trick! If something man has manufactured its not net zero! I do agree with the intent of reducing our impact on the environment; the approach is just wrong.
EVs have their place for sure, its just our politicians can't get it out if their little heads thats...
As ever, very interesting and I wouldn’t be surprised if most of that comes through.
What I do find interesting, if frustrating, currently looking for a new daily, is the demise of diesel in the daily driver category and the rise of petrol mild hybrids etc. Makes no sense. And the continued...
1) that looks like immobiliser or similar; dodgy wiring behind a good giveaway. took all mine out; nothing but trouble
2) there are two fuse panels; lights etc are on the other one, left hand side of the fwd trunk under the access panel.
cat ecu; just disconnect them. they are only there as temp overheat protection for the cats. ecus are notorious for failing and about the same price as aftermarket cats!
Had something like that on s daily years ago. Battery had enough juice to do lights etc; but not starter. New battery sorted it.
Is there a reboot with the 488, ie disconnect battery for 20 minutes, reconnect etc?
Finaly got the rims back and on the car.
They had been painted in the past, had the odd stone chip and two had a bit of an incident with a Swiss granite curb.
As they are magnesium there arent many places that know what they are doing or will take them on; it wasnt cheap! Fortunately TPCS...
Well, been locked out for a bit, but been busy as usual!
Had an awesome road trip to Anguoleme and Circuit de Rampart. Definitely going back next year. The rally on the Saturday was truly epic. Very nervous at first having a police outrider follow us with lights going as we wizzed through...
Id take a different view to the above (and yes i did the clutch on my 348 when i had it) personally I would take it somewhere that has done it before. yes its just a clutch, yes its just a car, but if they screw it up the cost to fix it could be steep!
as to where to buy, i stick to...
thats all rather frustrating and really not encouraging me to a newer ferrari!
id be tempted to change the battery as whilst you can boost them, or whatever the technical term is, they may not recover long term! as you know all the forums ate full of battery related issues; generally related...
