Does anyone think that developing an obsession with detailing could be a catalyst to the onset of OCD?!
Seriously, I've read some of the posts on here (and on many other forums) and can't believe anyone would spend so much money on a wax! It's interesting from a psychological perspective though...
Anyone know this 355 on eBay? I'm not interested in buying the car, but I'm just curious about it as it's been constantly up on eBay (at various prices) for about a year...
Currently, my 355 is parked in my Dad's garage (my house doesn't have a garage). However, inevitably, he wants his garage back.
I was going to put the car into storage, where I'd have access to it at weekends if I pre-arranged pick-up, etc. However, this is FAR from convenient. So, I've been...

Cheers,
Ian.
Fantastic experience, including some aerobatics (loop, barrel roll, ballistic roll) and some stick time. Pulled 3.5G during the loop
Cheers,

Ok, these are very short, low quality clips recorded with my mobile. I've got some MP4 vids, but don't have the attachment space to host them.
First clip is cold start, sitting in car, driver's window down.
Second clip is giving it some beans off the line in first and second, window up.
Third...
Just thought I'd post a few pics of my 355... loving driving the car even more now that it's freshly serviced and has the X-Ost fitted :)
The pics have been resized from the 5MP originals to make them more bandwidth-friendly. Not bad for a mobile phone, eh? I keep intending to take some...
I've been watching the bidding on this just out of curiosity and I cannot BELIEVE how much it's going for...

I'm happy with my second-hand Optimate for £26, thanks very much!
Cheers,
Ian.
Finally picked-up my 355 from Shiltech in Loughborough this afternoon
What should've taken a week (belt service + annual and various bits and bobs) ended-up taking a little over a fortnight due to a pesky little bolt (into alt/water pump tensioner support bracket) needing replacement...
I can appreciate Supra TT's... fantastic pieces of engineering and legendary engines. Shame about the somewhat Chav image they now have thanks to the Fast & Furious films. Anyway, I just spotted this on eBay...
Stumbled upon this site and thought you might be interested to see several F-cars in various states of strip-down. Some v.interesting pics of stripped engines, too...

Enjoy.

Just out of curiosity, have any of you had your 355 on the rollers? Would be interesting to know what the average 355 puts down at the wheels. Would also be especially interesting to know what improvement (if any) can be gained by adding K&N's, sports exhaust and/or cat bypass pipes.
I did...
Chip your 355 for £29.95!
Oh nooo, the IAT resistor scam strikes again...

Amazingly, some unfortunate sod appears to have drilled their perfectly good centre console to accept this device!
Cheers,
Ian.
I'll be having my nice, shiny new X-Ost fitted next week and was wondering about removing the heat shield so that polished exhaust box is visible top-side? I know the shield is obviously there for a reason, but what if the inside of the bumper, adjacent to the exhaust box, were covered in...
I've been tempted to get a sports exhaust for a while now and finally decided to pull the trigger on one last Friday. My current factory stock exhaust is blowing between the cat and the exhaust box on the offside due to a broken flange clamp (not the half-moon clamp... the flange clamp goes...
I was rolling a ball of Blu-Tack between my fingers this morning (as you do) and it suddenly dawned on my how similar the consistency is to detailing clay (which I recently bought a small bar of for a Tenner). I then did a quick search on Google and found a thread on a Mondeo forum where a bloke...

Nicely-restored example, but the owner must have his head in the clouds to think he can achieve anywhere NEAR that price!
