any reccomendations locla ish to me...

and what exactly do i get for my money on an annual service?? 6000 miler??

and is there a cheaper alternative for tight arses like me??!!

obviously not the 18000mile one but just for this one?

well yes thats what i thought but, i wasnt sure what other things they chek over... i serviced all me cars and bikes but cos its a ferrari, the stigma attached just oozes fear!! and the all important stamp in the book???

sure im a skilled mechanid anyway.. i could do the basics but i just wasnt sure what was involved in the other bits

If your a skilled spanner man then I don't doubt you'd do a better job than many of the places you could take it to and you wouldn't try and rip yourself off.
So that leaves the stamp issue, and i think that is a biggy at sale time!
You could always just buy a stamp off ebay and create your own specialist garage or choose one thats recently gone out of business?

does that go on in the ferrari circle!!!!

i did think of that really to be honest....

Hi Neil,

here's a thought for you...

If you are useful with a set of spanners but are unsure of exactly what to look for, why don't you pay a Ferrari specialist to PPI your own car?

I think you could get someone to do this for say £350 vs the £700 the same guy may charge you to do a full annual service.

You then simply get him to tell you all the 'faults' he's found on your car but then YOU put them all right. Thus you ensure that you carry out the annual fluid/filter change without missing any other ad-hoc repairs that need to be attended to.

What you think?

Neil, how long you keeping the car?

If only short term, have it done at a specialist and get a stamp. Ferrari buyers can be quite anal about service histories and they'll screw you down on price due to the lack of a stamp.

If the specialist finds any problems, you can either get them to fix it or do it yourself.

Once you work on the 348, you'll realise how easy it is.

im keeping the car forever hopefully!!!

i love it!!

no seriously..

ive got no plans to sell it for a few years yet

re your thoughts ross..
