348 light stalk

My stalk for the lights is getting flaky in operation.
There’s a few threads on Ferrari chat but nothing conclusive about a repair , so though I would reach out on here as there’s been a few restoration threads re 348 s .

It appears the stalk rotates and is somehow held into a cam by friction only . So it does indeed just pull out . I can re insert it easily but it getting difficult for it to grip the cam .
The cam has multiple facets that I assume close ( and open ) contacts as it rotates .

Some one on F chat suggested the cam s housing fractures , the yoke that holds it ?
Any how a few pics .E3B1A394-056F-4F0E-B16F-78E992EACF71.jpegBAE649C7-241C-43D2-A69F-A8CE4E7E2E94.png
It’s the switch with the rivets in ^ .
After removing the steering wheel ( 28 mm ring nut required) ….has anyone separated the indicator switch from the light stalk unit ?

The yoke + the cam .
Has any one disassembled the stalk light down to this ? F chats talks of drilling out rivets and re fixing with self tappers ?

I was wondering just to dab a bit ( tiny smear ) of glue on the stalk top and simply re inert it , wait to set …..based on the theory the stalks not gripping the cam , so just turning .
I have to twiddle it bit you see to get anything,
I think there’s 4 positions ……as you rotate it Fwds towards the dash
1- Off
2- first turn parking light activation
3- side lights
4- headlights with the motors so they pop up and stay on

Full beam is another flick down of the stalk …no rotation this works find assuming I can position 4 .

Finally internet chaff talks of Lancia delta having the identical whole column switch gear ?
Does anyone know of the cross part ? , They would have picked something out of the Italian parts manufacturers around Moderna .

Hi everyone.
For the sake of others , there’s an inevitably with this .
I have found a fix for nothing .
Bear in mind Marenello parts only do the whole column @ £2000 and most EU parts guy asked €3500 .
