Is it a big job to get to the remote door opening units? it seems my 348 needs them replacing!!! not sure if its a DIY job or a specialist. !!

348 remote door opening

They will be located inside the doors,remove the door trim http://fcars.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3210 and all should become clear.
Never done this job on the 348,but it should be like any other car and quite simple to do once you have the door panel off.

I messed with these on the Mondial t. My problem was that humidity got inside the units and messed up the little motor inside.
If one motor doesn't work you can only lock the door with the key from the opposite side to the bad motor.
If you have the same problem and they are the same motor as the Mondial t let me know as I have an extra little motor I can post to you.
