Well, an interesting day in my 360 today. Early this morning, my neighbour alerted me to the fact that the car was beeping continuously. Like a fairly high pitched sound once every second and not hugely loud, but certainly loud enough to be heard from 50 feet away.
So I investigated and found that the battery was pretty much out of juice, enough to show the dash lights, but nothing for starting other than a few clicks. So I called the dealer who didn't know what the beeping was (service were out of course as it's sunday), but said to recharge the battery or start the car with an auxiliary battery. It just so happens that I have a spare high powered battery in my garage, so I plugged it in and the car started fine. The car hadn't been sat without being used, I did 50 miles in it yesterday.
I then went on a roughly 50 mile round trip today and, within 10 minutes of starting my journey, had a call from TrakBak asking if my car had been stolen! I guess this happens when the battery runs dead/is disconnected. Everything with the car was fine and once I'd stopped the engine, it started again fine even after 5 hours of no use.
The reason for my post is that for some strange reason, the heater has now stopped working. Whatever I do with the temperature switch, it just blows cold air out. Could this be something to do with the battery resetting the system or a fuse blowing or something? It was definitely working a few days ago as I had the roof down and had some toasty air blowing onto my hands from the vents.
I also think I may have got flashed in a tunnel near Canary Wharf. Damn those exhaust valves, why do they have to make the engine sound so good?!
