Hi Folks,
Last of the massive modders here again(!), I’ve just bought some subtle fancy parts for my 458, a set of Titanium wheel bolts from Wisdom Titanium. I’ve bought these before for the 360 Modena, so I know the product and I’m comfortable with sending money overseas! The price is excellent at £287.82 (inclusive of import tax of 69.82) , helped currently by the great exchange rate from US Dollars (Wisdom just take the $289 price and convert to GBP on Google
) so it is an extra special bargain at the moment

Hi Folks,
I have created a Fuelly info page on my 458, with currently only one fuel up at 13.8 mpg, quite surprised at that, thought it would be better. I guess the real world benefit of the 488 turbos can be seen here as I regularly would get 22mpg in the 488.
Anyway, the other benefit of the fuelly app is that I can log all the services too which I have done.
Fully appreciate the nerdy context of all this stuff but I kind of like it

Fear not, the service costs are currently an engineering judgement(!) as a place holder until I can dig out the accurate figures. So essentially rounded up figures will be estimation and accurate to the penny costs will be actual, same as my 360. It’ll take a bit of time but at least on the 360 I probably have the paperwork bills.
On the plus side, collating all this information keeps me off Autotrader and buying another car!

definitely nerdy Giles; and numbers I probably dont want to know or let the boss know, especially the service costs!!
There are 2 sides of the equation. I only share the car's appreciation side of the ledger so using that metric I can show what a canny financial move buying a Ferrari was

Titanium lug bolt heaven arrived while I was in France, fast delivery, well packaged and great quality and at a price your local main dealer would wince at!
Wisdom Titanium Ti Lug bolts, M14x1.5x52:

Super leggera:
Very shiny
Will fit as soon as I can think of the unsprung mass benefit!
Had these on my 360 for a while now, no issues, would recommend.

What a car this 458 is. Such a pleasure to own and drive. It was the first time driving it since the Ti wheel bolts were fitted, it feels so light now

Yes, well spotted but, disappointingly the colour tone in the photo is all wrong, it looks more Rosso than Bordeaux in the sunlight. I will hopefully be uploading more info into the Fuelly app, oh the suspense, will I get more than 13.8 mpg this time?
Great to see these cars winding their way through the countryside.
Having two triple yellow Ferraris in the group is a bit of a treat too.
I love the understated but classy look of my 458 and the practicalities of the luggage space is superb….. you should see the luggage space in the SF90, it’s comical!

I did get some opportunity to feel the balance of the car and it is superb, I do wonder if the optional handling kit the first owner added is playing its part in the exceptional body control and progressive weight transfer, it really is very good indeed.
One thing I’m quite surprised at is that this is the first time I’ve had the standard sports seat. My other 2 458’s had the carbon fibre racing seat (L) which is ironically, easily the most comfortable. I found the standard sports seat don this Yorkshire trip very hard over a long distance giving very much the numb bum experience. This is in comparison with my 360 Daytona sports seats, which I can easily drive to the south of France in one hit without any discomfort at all (absolutely none).
I have a Germany/Austria trip coming up and I thought I could perhaps take the 458, but after experiencing the hard seat, long distance, numb bum formula first hand I think it will have to be my leggy old 360
