Independent specialists and pre-purchase inspections

Hi All. Hoping to take my first step into Ferrari ownership in the coming months…..Currently considering either a 430 or 458 spider. I’m very keen to buy a very clean example / good history etc.

To that end, I’d really appreciate views on good / reliable independent specialists (sales and service) in the UK.

Also would be grateful for recommendations for individuals/ specialists who conduct pre-purchase inspections.

I’m in the East Midlands but willing to travel if needed. Thanks in advance for your help.
 
I'm just south east of Lincoln and used Shiltech at Loughborough for my PPI about 15 years ago. Service wise if you go down the 458 route you might find a main dealer is the way to go and Gray Paul at Nottingham is worth a visit if only for a nose around. I've used both for service in the past and while it can be good to build a relationship with an indie the price difference wasn't as much as I thought it'd be.

If you are still looking back in 2022 I used Tim Walker to inspect a Ferrari360 i was looking to purchase.

However after Tims's very detailed inspection I purchased another vehicle (Ferrari F355)

I almost used him before.

Just make sure you know who is actually doing the inspection as he tried to sub contract it out without advising me to someone I had never heard off and who tried to renegade on the arrangements made.

not a set of behaviours i find acceptable.
