Rare £3.7m Ferrari seized in police crackdown - Monza SP2

Taking the a moment for me to weigh up the stupidity involved here. Although the BBC article doesn't go into specifics, a radio report of the same said that the driver had no insurance and was driving in an anti-social manner.

Maybe he was just so wealthy, it was not a consideration.

Wow.

The phrase more money than sense comes to mind. The thing is the Monza clearly wasn't an isolated seizure - there were 89 others taken too.

Be interesting to see how much the authorities can throw the book at those involved. Not sure if they do it here but in some other countries, as well as those involved being prosecuted, if they are found guilty those cars would be auctioned off which seems like a good idea to me.

I know some years ago in Columbia I think a drugs gang leader's 348 was taken and as usual ther it was auctioned. No one dared buy it so the police kept it for themselves. At least that was their story.........
