Restoring My Rare 360 Modena…

Hello everyone,


I own a factory manual Ferrari 360 Modena with a factory sunroof, one of only 25 built in this specification, and I have recently started a complete restoration project here in Turkey.


Originally, my car left the factory in Azzurro California Blue, but unfortunately it was repainted in red at some point in its life. My goal now is to return it to its authentic factory color and bring every detail back to original condition.


I will be restoring everything from the engine to the seats. For the interior, I have already sourced the correct Connolly leather, and for the mechanical work I have purchased genuine parts directly from Zanasi Service in Italy.


I’m excited to begin this journey and would greatly appreciate your good wishes, advice, and any guidance you may share throughout the process.


I will also share restoration updates with photos as the project progresses.

Nice to see one of the sunroof 360s. I was always surprised more weren't made. Personally with most of the pre-458 cars I prefer the lines of the hard tops over the Spiders but love the open air option of removing the roof. As such I always thought the lack of a targa option on the 360/430 was a bit of a shame. the 360 sunroof cars are a nice way to go.

Looks fabulous! Well done for returning it to the original colour, even though they look good in RC too. You must be very proud of how it’s turned out. Now enjoy it to the full.

Congrats on getting it finished, that's a serious amount of work and it shows. Azzurro California really suits the 360, and getting it back to the factory colour on one of the 25 sunroof cars makes it even more special.

Following on from A348W's question, I'd be curious whether you're planning to drive it regularly or keep it more as a collector piece. After a restoration this thorough, the first few hundred miles are a good chance to catch any small leaks or loose ends before the season gets going. Hope the sunroof gets plenty of use too.

Would love to see some photos of it out on the road.

The car has now covered approximately 2,500 km since the restoration, and I’m happy to say that we haven’t experienced any oil leaks or other issues, which is great news for us.


I have actually sold the car to one of my clients, and it is now part of a very nice collection. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to take many photos of it out on the road, but the new owner is very happy with it.


We are now working on another project, a Ferrari F355 GTS, also in the same beautiful Azzurro California colour. Once we make a bit more progress with the restoration, I’ll be happy to share some photos with everyone here.
