Default Brighton Speed Trials - Sat 8th Sept

It's the worlds oldest motor race (still running).

1/4 mile drag race along Brighton seafront.

I will be there in the 308 GT4.

    Entry list here:
    http://www.brightonandhovemotorclub....7STEntries.htm

F-cars include myself, an F40 and an F599.

It would be nice to see some of you there, and if you need advice on parking etc let me know.

Heard some terrible news from Dan this afternoon.....

He recorded a 15.72 sec run for the 1/4 mile...... beating my 2005 time of 15.79 sec by a whopping 0.07 secs!!!!

Gonna have to be a propper "grudge match" next year.

Thinking about it I reckon you could get that 0.07 sec back by putting a decent air filter on your car

I do indeed.... who remembers last September's weather, blizzard conditions on the Speed Trial weekend..... had absolutely NO traction. So, to only be 0.07 off Dan's pace set in "perfect" conditions is actualy a victory.

Happen to stumble across this photo....

There you go..... all in all a superb bit of driving in arctic conditions by me. I'd recon on low 13's in "easy conditions" like Dan had today.

My first run was a dismal 16.28 secs, but I managed to clear the misfire for my second run to post the 15.72.
