Ferrari 360 / 550 / 575 wiper arm repair
The Ferrari 360 / 550 and 575 models are well known for the O/S wiper catching the top of the bonnet, This is a very cheap and easy guide on how to fix this issue. All three models have a similar wiper arm set up, for this guide I have used a 360.
The fault shown...
You have to remove the main wiper arm first (13mm nut) then the smaller arm second - as there is an overlap (8mm nut) You will need to press down on the main wiper arm to release the pressure for the arm to be removed from the spline...
(It maybe worth marking where your wiper sits on the widscreen to aid with re fitting alignment)
The arm that we need to re-set...
Wrap the end which was fixed to the wiper spine with Tank tape / carpet tape...
Place the end with the tape into the Vice with the back of the arm facing you. You will then need some gentle heat, I use a modelling hot air gun - as it will not damage the coating on the arm - this is also why you place it in the vice with the back of the arm facing you. I would presume that a hairdryer would probably do the trick also. Apply the heat till the arm feels hot to touch - but still OK to hold...
Then gently pull the arm back towards you about 5 degrees CAUTION...much more and the arm can crack or break.
Allow to cool, then refit to the car in the reverse process of removal, small arm first and tighten, main arm second, align and tighten. (Sorry about using a rather tatty arm for the pictures - I guess a paint refurb is on the cards too!)...
Then close the bonnet and see the improvement..
I suggest that you then touch up the bonnet damage to seal the bare metal. Oh! and by the way the wiper arm costs £167 + VAT.

Great guide but you forgot a step between posts 5 and 6 - take plenty of brave pills!
I've done this on both my 360's but I've not seen an arm as badly bent as that one.
