Took me ages (and a ridiculous amount if money) to find one of these coil stickers.

My current one is pretty tatty so another small job that will tidy up the engine bay.

I have lots of little jobs to do but my 5 year old daughter takes most of my limited spare time!

New sill/roll-hoop rubber arrived too and I can't wait to get this fitted. Current one has two big splits.

I'll post pics once I get a chance.

Fitted the new rubber door / roof seal today. Very happy with the result.

Here's a couple of shots of the existing rubber. The rubber is perished and split in places.

I need to ask for some help please.

I started stripping my plenum cover as it was flaking and I want to paint to re-paint it. I don't have the confidence to remove it so decided to try and do it in situ.

I used nitromors. I was very careful re any splashing and so far have not made a mess other than the plenum which just went like wet red paint and smudged everywhere. See below.

I spent ages scraping it off and then cleaned it up with blue roll and this is what I'm left with -

There's still loads of paint on it and I'm not sure what to do. I'm thinking that I put another coat of stripper on it and leave it overnight - hoping that all the paint will just dry up and peel off. The detail around the script is particularly tricky.

I suppose the obvious thing is to take it all apart and have it bead blasted but I'd really like to avoid it if at all possible.

Any advise would be very welcome.

Care and perseverance with paint stripper and a stiff brush to get it off.

You may struggle wrinkling and curing the paint if it's cold. I've just done my oil separator in VHT black. The paint is very slow drying and you need to make sure everything is well protected. I ended up with a sticky halo on my garage floor around the workmate (B&D, not an actual mate) I was spraying it on.
I cured it with a halogen lamp but after several heat cycles it stiff softened although it is now hardening nicely now.

Dropped the little 328 off at The Ferrari Centre today where she will have an annual service over the next week or so.

Spent a while nosing around the workshop whilst there and took a few interesting pics.

    Default Tapatalk image quota

Got my rear grill back from the powdercoaters. Really pleased with the result but cannot post pictures as it says I've exceeded my image quota.

Anyone know what I need to do to sort this?

Got my lower rear grill back from Redditch Shot Blasting. Thanks Terry for the recommendation.

Delighted with the quality of the job and can't wait to fit it back into position.

And a quick reminder of what they started with. You can see where a previous owner had hacked away at the grill to accommodate the aftermarket exhaust. They've done a great job of tidying this up and smoothing sharp edges etc.

They also have my throttle body and plenum chamber so will forward pics once completed.
