Any reptile experts out there?

Hi all.

Just wondering if anyone happens to be a snake expert? Found this next to our pond and just wanted to be sure it’s a grass snake skin (which I think it might be) and not an adder skin. From what little I can find online I think it’s grass snake. Cheers.

Thanks. I take it adder markings are on the outer skin so would show up?

It’s true that the distinctive zig zag markings of an adder aren’t necessarily visible on shed skin, but i’d put my money on what you’ve seen as a grass snake. But I wouldn’t want to guarantee it…
