Big service time

Clutch was worn so new twin plate needed more ££££

And new release bearing

Always good to see it's being done properly (imo) with the engine out. So much easier to get at every inch of the engine so good excuse to get a few extra bits and bobs seen to.

Workshop looks clean and good job to change release bearing at same time as clutch.

Didn’t want to be the one to tell you...but it’s your rocker covers you have had painted not your headers.

Oops! Yes that’s what I mean

I’m actually a fan on this engine out malarkey and I wished they’d carried on.
Once out (which it’s designed to do) access is easy unlike the 360 for which you need five foot long arms with tiny hands on the end :)

I think it scares some people off because it sounds drastic but as you say, it's designed to come out on the engine cradle so it's not such a big deal. It can be done at home without a lift etc, you just need 2 jacks and a board on caster wheels to rest the engine on. Sorry for the music :) but this shows just how technical it is and how much specialist equipment is needed. Quite a few owners across the pond do their own because here a 'major' costs around £1500-£2000, over there it can be £8000 and upwards. Mad - it simply isn't that big a deal but people are charged it because the 'shops' over there know they can charge whatever they like.

Nice

You need gloss red skirting, my garage is similar colours to yours and the red skirting lifted it nicely.

I do my best to avoid DIY in the house, the good wife wasn't too happy to see the time I put into decorating the garage

Not sure about red skirting you’ll have to put up a pic so I can see [emoji106]
